This is a medieval traffic light that I designed and created for the Artstation challenge Medieval: back and forth.
For this challenge I had to make 3 props rendered in real time following a brief of the mixture of the medieval and modern period.
For this model I decided to make a traffic light in a medieval style but having a much stronger connection to the modern day by having it powered thereby showing a strong mix of the medieval and modern periods.
The lights of the prop are stained glass to make it easy to differentiate between the different colours.
The height of the model is similar to that of modern traffic lights so it would be ideal for those on horseback.
The stop and go pedestrian signs are also made from stained glass to match the style.
